Looks like some kinda weed....
A strain of cannabis sativa commonly known as industrial hemp.
If I was guessing of course...

That field was maybe planted a little over a month ago and look at it... Today I saw them planting more where onions were last week...Shit grows like weeds.... LOL
Maybe if they burned it, it wouldn’t come back.... Probably take a while to accomplish so bring your lunch (es)Yeh and it's growing right across the street from a NY State Police barracks....It's in Pine Island N Y onion capital of the world..... Seems every field that had onions growing is sprouting these strange weeds....
Hemp is not psychoactive. The only thing you'd get from smoking what's in the field is sore lungs. I can assure you that's not a field of OG Kush, Sour Diesel, Lemon G, or Tangerine Dream.

Hemp is technically a cousin to marijuana, both of which fall under the "cannabis" banner. The CBD market is supplied by hemp, which has a higher percentage of cannabinoids and those are basically the "essential oil" of the plant so to speak. Hemp contains no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which is the psychoactive component of marijuana.
