Need New Batteries for your EV?

The batteries for this 2012 Chevy Volt was out of warranty and had to be purchased from a 3rd party supplier, because GM no longer makes that battery for this model, as of 2018.

This is about 29 thousand reasons why I'll never own an electric car.

The volt was discontinued in 2019 and GM no longer makes/stocks the batteries. 3rd party aftermarket and they jacked it up 3 fold…. Standard battery replacement is between $2-8k… One
person summed it up, what’d you pay for a big screen tv in 2000 vs what it cost today.
