PA finally legalized night vision for hunting predators. Im going to put a night scope on my AR probably in December. Im planning on getting the ATN thor 4K 640 5x50. I had considered getting a thermal scope but the are a bit pricey.

Anyone using night vision in Ohio?

ATN has greatly improved their scopes. Previous years have shown them to be horrible for reliability and customer service. :cautious:
Having said that... I did a lot of research before purchasing a Night Vision scope and most of it revolved around product reliability and customer service. Since ATN really sucked at the time of my research, I went with Sightmark. I nearly purchased the Photon XT 6.5x50S, but decided to go with their latest scope the Wraith.

The Wraith has both daytime and nighttime capability, digital zoom, and runs on 4 rechargeable AA batteries. This model has no audio, which means nothing to me...just less language from me when I miss and it being recorded. It has its' own IR light, which isn't bad, but I replaced with with a Sniper Hog 66 LRX and have NO regrets. There are plenty of local Ohio dealers selling the Wraith for $499. Sightmark is supposed to be coming out with a newer and better version of the Wraith, but I've not heard a release date, yet.

I recommend going through a dealership for any brand of Night Vision scope, for warranty work and/or questions you may have about the device. (y) I went with Todd Gillispie in Proctorsville, Ohio that owns Todd's Sporting Goods. I paid for it over the phone with a CC and had it in my hand in 3 days.

Thanks! I've always wanted to have what I have, now, for hunting coyotes at night. AR-10, in 243. (y) My reloads of a 75gr. Hornady V-Max @ 3400 f.p.s. will put 'em on the ground.
No runners, like my previous 5.56. :cautious: Plenty of follow-up shots for the occasional multiple coyotes. :)
I like to show the coyotes the same mercy they show the whitetail fawns....NONE.(n)o_O
