So my wife's boss decided this year instead of giving everyone a honeybaked ham he would give them a Smithey cast iron pan, man this thing is awesome, gonna break it in today.

I've never used one but would like to give one a try some day. No idea what you have to do to care for them and prep for use.

Comes preseasoned, they recommend foods that require higher temps like caramelized onions, sautéed vegetables. Also pancakes, which I thought was strange. Then just clean and oil it.
