Quiet Carabiners

Where can I get some carabiners that are quiet? Do they sell them that have a rubber coating or does everyone just tape theirs up?

I use shrink tubing, but if you wanted to get real fancy, you could buy Plasti Dip and tape off the hinge point and the opening, then dip them. Wait for them to dry and cut the spots with the tape. I plan on giving this a try whenever I get around to ordering some of that stuff. None of the local stores sell it.

Looks like a run to Home Depot is in order. I need to shrink tube my clips on my climbers also...

Ever use the spray can Plasti-dip? It works well.

I do the same as Greg. Heat shrink tubing works quite well.

I'm a heat-shrink guy, too. The plasti-dip is probably an awesome way to go as well, though.

You sure.. It's in the paint section by the spray paints. And it's in a blue or yellow can if i remember correct.. Like a cardboard wrapped can. About the size of a can of biscuits..

Hey guys! I know this thread is old, but I wanted to put my 2 cents in anyway. I came across this page looking for the same thing. I found plastic, military grade carabiners. They are designed to be quiet for military use. I ordered some and they work perfect.
