Rail paint

If you were going to paint a rail, what type of paint would you use?

Dumb question, but asking for the gunsmith that apparently didn't know!

I don't really know for sure but I would assume something hard like a good quality enamel. Cerakote would probably be ideal though.

I've used Duracoat in the past. It holds up good to everything but bug dope.

Cerekote or duracoat. Iraqveteran8888 has a good instructional video on YouTube for duracoat.

You can always spray paint it, you will just have to do it a lot.
