I was just looking over what time of day over the years that I shot my bucks out of my Ravine Stand. All but one have been taken between 10:00 and 11:30. Looks like I might sleep in a little later in the future.

10/28/16 Sunrise 8:00 Kill Time 11:20--Alone
11/20/17 " " " 7:27 " " 10:15-- Alone
11/8/19 " " 7:12 " " 11:00--Alone
11/11/20 " " 7:16 " " 8:15--Chasing
11/8/21 " " 7:12 " " 10:33--Alone

Also on 11/5/15 I was already tagged out with a buck. when a big buck walked passed my stand at 10:56 (Sunrise 7:08), he was alone.
My Hunting partner shot him on 11/8/15 at 10:00 (Sunrise 7:12). He was tending a doe.

We had a guy at deer camp that used to swear by hunting what he called second shift. Guys would be rolling back to the cabin at 10 and he would be heading out to hunt. He wasn't a big buck hunter but he never had a problem killing deer.

Interesting data you got there Steve. I had a stand years ago that I knew I’d never see a deer before 9. I was always there early but never saw much till later in the day. It was way back in the woods and a good distance from any obvious food source. They moved early in the afternoon in there too, very rarely late. I can only assume I was right in the bedroom which would make sense due to it being thick.
