RIP Troy Gentry

Yes, been on the move most of the day but was shocked when I heard about it around 4 this afternoon. Karissa and I met him last July/Aug at a concert in Franklin Ohio and she had her pic taken with him. Very approachable and nice towards us. Eddie and T Roy put on a great show that night and their music is well represented on both our playlists.

Back when "Lonely and Gone" was coming out, They were playing at a little bar in west Tampa called the "Roundup". I got there early after work and was standing there talking to a guy and he asked if I wanted a beer,, I said sure, so he went to the bar and came back with beers and we stood there drinking and talking.. then girls started coming up asking for his autograph.. I looked at him and asked "who are you"?? He stuck his hand out, we shook hands and said "Hi, I'm Troy, I'm playing here tonight"..
RIP T Roy.. Rest in peace :smiley_cheers:
 
Very sad news both outstanding artists I remember listening to Don Williams with my dad when I was around 5 loved country music ever since
