DEAL Ryobi 40v String Trimmer (Remanufactured)

My 6 year old Ryobi gas trimmer finally failed me. Lower head stripped out. Was going too replace it for $80, as the trimmer lower unit can be removed and other attachments added. I have the trimmer and saw blade lower unit. I came across the battery version of the same trimmer for $118 for the remanufactured one. Figured I’d give it a try. For the money I saved, I figure I’d pick up a second battery too have that on hand as well.

I've got that, bought replacement string and plastic blades through Amazon.

Just picked up the tiller attachment.

Also have the 40v chainsaw

Have you used the tiller attachment? The blade attachment does a pretty good job on brush under an inch in diameter. I’m on my 3rd blade, it just keeps going. Don’t regret that purchase one bit.

Well it arrived today, a buddy was over and we were burning brush so when FedEx showed up they left a
it at the garage. When we were done we unboxed it….
This is what we found….

Charger plug bent.
Upper tube assembly out of round
Lower shaft the flex shaft was unwound and wouldn’t fit into the upper section all the way.

Contacted Home Depot and they’re sending someone too pick it up. 3-5 business days after they received it they’ll refund the the money so I can purchase again. SMDH…. The things I do to save a buck…..
