I went on my first duck hunt in November with Fair Chase Outfitters in Michigan for three days. It was a learning experience as I watched the guides place the decoys strategically in place. They started to call and some mallards came in and they shouted shoot em! I shot my first duck, felt pretty proud that I hit it. It was on, I wanted to stay there all day. We went back in around four with very few ducks. Apparently it was a slow day. Second day the water was to rough so we went to the Fish Point Wildlife Area. Slow there also but I did see a lot from a distance. The third day we stayed out only until ten a.m. because the bay was really choppy. All in all I found a new love of the hunt. I brought home nine ducks in all and the memories of a great time.
