I've never deviated from factory recommend loads. They only reason I went with the Savage was the cleanliness of smokeless powder.

I would buy another if priced right. Had one but sold it when I went with a converted TC Encore 45-70 barrel converted with a Savage style smokeless breach plug. Smokeless ML is clean and you can see after shooting.
Just remember the old saying "stupid is and stupid does".
Go to dougsmessageboards.com and see what the experts do with Savage ML conversions. It's way beyond what I need a ML for but still interesting.
