This is what happens when government starts managing wildlife based on feelings and not sound scientific data- lion hunting is outlawed because its mean, lion population increases out of control, deer/game becomes scarce, lions attack people. Same hound hunters that were once paying hunters now are being paid with tax dollars to hunt that lion. It makes perfect sense.

Also- Mountain lions are actually migrating from California to Nevada where hound hunting is still legal, its almost like a managed renewable natural resource prefer/thrive in areas where it is practiced.

Terrible way to go and deal with as a living brother. I like being top of the food chain where I live and hunt 90% of my time. I also wouldn't be without a gun, knife or spray if I was walking around with bears and big cats.

Horrible tragedy. We are not always the apex predator, especially when we are in their living room. The cat shouldn't be vilianized here, but it's a tragedy none the less.

I believe that’s basically illegal in California

An extreme state it is, but all are legal one way or another for a law abiding citizen. Certain parks/areas have their own restrictions, but most certainly allowed on private and most public land.
