Could anyone tell me what the left most hole is for? I am taking the boat out today and I never thought about it the last first few times out. I know the drain plug and livewell hole but I have no idea what that one on the left is.

Welcome to the forum. Not being a boat guy I would say to let water in when setting still in order to keep you moving. Probably not though.
Yep, and they do sell screens that screw over the threads of the opening to prevent sucking junk into the pump.... Not too expensive and saves headaches down he road....
