I purchased this Summit Open Shot, last year, from a guy on FB Marketplace. He said he only used it 1 year and doesn't have the time to hunt, so he sold it to me.
This year, I've noticed it having a slight squeak to it and at first I just thought it was the type of bark on the tree I was climbing. However, it has become annoyingly loud and sounds more like a screen door.
This evening I sat it on the ground and stood on it and it squeaks. So, I put it on its' side and pushed on the upper arms, in a side to side and up and down motion and that's where the squeaking noise is coming from.
It's like the arms and/or platform are under some sort of metal stress and something's about to snap. This has freaked me out enough to stop using it and send an email to Summit. According to their Warranty/Policy Terms, they don't have to do anything about it. However, it would be in their best interest to offer some sort of solution, at best. 
I'll be watching my email for a response.
