So today I needed to shoot a starting that was trying to nest rob a robins nest that my boys have been watching. I went inside and grabbed the BB gun but realized I couldn't find my tin of pellets. No problem I grabbed a 12ga steel shot BB shell and cut it open and dumped it in the rifle. It loaded fine and I touched one off. The bolt was open after the shot and it sounded off. . It was then I realized something was off. Hmmmmm. I wonder if shotgun BB shot size is not .177. So I looked it up. Nope. BB shot size is .180. Technically .177 BBs are correctly called BBBB.

So I no shit have a true BB stuck in my BBBB guns barrel. 😅😅 I choose to believe that I was right when I loaded real BBs, It's the damn gun that's got it all wrong.

No reason to poke fun at @OhioWhiteTails hunting season in this thread too

I can't say I would have thought of cutting a shotgun shell apart. Probably would have just loaded the shotgun with that shell and made sure it raided it's last robin's nest LOL!!
