Today I bush hogged my over grown 2013 forage oats food plot getting ready for a fall planting next month.
I flushed a hen turkey setting on a nest of 8 eggs. The damn thing didn't flush until after I ran across it and it flew out between the front and rear tires of the tractor. Scared the living crap out of me.
I did bust one egg open and it was just starting to form bloody tissue.
Must have been all the wet rainy weather we had here in SW Ohio to have turkeys still setting on nest. Never would have believed it if I hadn't seen it.
Haven't seen any hens with young ones yet either.
