This past weekend I was feelnig a little burnt out of deer hunting.. With no photos of deer in daylight I figured I would go out and pick on the ducks a little. Saturday morning me and my buddy set up in a little slew I had scouted some birds in....THere was a roost about 150 yards away, at first light we let all the birds leave...THe action was non existent until about 9am..THen some birds started to return...We faired pretty well with a bonus widgeon
Sunday mornig we switched things up a little and added a 3rd member to our group and went after some woodies...A short time after sunrise we were limited on some nice woodros.....
All in all it was a good weekend away from a stand...Leo was itching to get some feathers in his mouth, and he got just that...Depeneding on the weather I mgiht or might not get out this week a little...but with the warm temps coming this week, I dont see myself suiting up and getting in a treestand....
