Weird goose flock

I saw a small flock of three geese and something else, and smaller. It wasn't a duck. The wing flapping was the same. I would say a midget goose or a seagull. Is that commonplace?

Could have been a cackler or a richardson. They are about the size or a mallard

Here is one I shot in Kansas

Here are a couple beside a pintail. You can really tell how small they are here.

They are neat little birds...They fly very similar to a duck. When we were hunting them we also noticed that they flew early with the ducks, unlike the canadas that were flying later in the day.

Cool, thanks for posting those. The bird was about half the size. Looks like it could have been one of those.

We shot some cacklers out in ND this fall. They are so tiny they almost don't seem real.
