yote baits and lures

On the catch pole. On the end where he tied the knot, I put a piece of broom handle on there with a hole drilled in it for the cable. Then tie the knot in the end. Will give you a better "handle" to hold onto.

HELL YEAH it does..when i grew up in teh early 80's there were no yotes and this is all new..i was a youngin when in ran a line with dad and brother. im planning on just yotes this year and maybe into more next year..i really have a ton of coons available but not the time or space to skin and prep. i will take all advice i can get. no matter how trivial it seems please speak up because i may have or have not heard it. i have a diverse area i am focusing on and over the years i have studied their travel paths. now i plan ti put it to use..all i have are coyote traps if that says anything and i have about 48 bought up...

And one more thing cleanliness is a big key too. I try and set my traps where I can see them with glasses from my truck and every three to four days walk only close enough to them to see if they have set off and if the hole has been tore up. Don't get frustrated if no action for a week or so coyotes home range is huge and they may be in the area one day and gone for ten.just remember the three R's roads rivers and rows. I'm in nw Ohio with lots of creeks, farm paths and fence rows all good spots and even better if these meet. Also edges of thickets. And one more thing remember your prevailing winds on what direction to make your set, its opposite of your deer stand placement, set your set upwind of the likely travel way and angle your hole in the down wind direction. My best advice is get your taps prepped and go have fun. I'm still learning as I go. But that's the fun out of it. As far as fox just shorten your placement up both ways of your hole and change your call lure. Good luck Milo can't wait to here bout your line this year.

Rick, let me know where to send those videos.

I wouldnt mind borrowing them myself, if it isnt too much trouble. just ordered a dozen snares, and picked up a couple leg holds as well. got a video and a book ordered, and watched a handful of youtube videos. Want to be ready for next winter.
