I would say I Heard around ten shots for the weekend. Four of those were family members. Three misses and one kill.

Lots of youth were successful around here this weekend

It was a high odds weekend. Good weather and tons of participants. When I was a kid, before our youth season, no girls in my school killed deer. I know of a dozen junior high girls that killed deer this weekend. Dad's are taking kids out at a rate that's as high as ever. And yes, crossbows killed quite a few this weekend. I also saw a bunch of young men who took advantage of killing a deer when the getting was good, not like when we were kids and had to kill them when everyone else was (with a gun).
