45 minutes tonight, it was fun
Went to one of the ODNR dove fields near my house yesterday (Kokosing). It was probably 3-4 times the size of my little home patch at least and had tons of seed on the ground. Saw like 5-10 doves in 3 hours with no shot opportunities.
Sat out this morning at my place. Got another 8, had dozens more flying around. Most were landing in the trees and flying after I shot at the few that came into range. The other challenge is the standing soybeans.
Due to the fair I won't hunt that field again for about a week.

We had some injured ones make it to holes and some stuck in trees. Figured we did enough harm for one day and called it quits. 22 vs 410 with my boy. I went out with an early lead as I wasn't letting them get close enough for him to even shoot, lol. Lessons learned kiddo.
I just looked...i don't think we hurt as much as we thought we did.
Gonna go get some more bait here in a few. Just finishing up breakfast. Should be easy pickings with the cold coming next week. See if this helps motivate him out of the house. Guessing no school.
