I love the LD rest, beener. I know some may think that the cord going up to the top limb will get caught on stuff, but I've never had any issues like this. Milo hit the nail on the head about tuning/twisting cables on binaries and the served-in dropaway cord... I had my expert pro on the bow when I was tuning my Z28 a few months ago, and twisting cables with that cord served in was a pain in the ass. Also, as far as containment goes.... It's not really necessary in my opinion. I've been shooting a non-containment dropaway ever since I bought this bow and I've never had any problems. How many times are you sideways or upside down when you're shooting at a deer???
I like to hunt on the ground in late winter. It would matter then doing still hunting in thick stuff or corn.
I personally don't think that walking around with a razor sharp broadhead sticking off the front of your bow is a good idea. When I still hunt, I don't knock an arrow unless I'm ready to shoot at something... So there's still no reason for containment, for me anyway.
Still looking. I at one time had a NAP dropaway that the arrow would hardly stay on...it sucked. If you would move at all the arrow would come off the shelf.
For walking around with a broadhead I guess I will take the risk...minimal as it is especially still hunting. I couldn't imagine trying to mule deer or antelope hunt out west without having an arrow knocked...

Why would I have to worry about my string? I am not walking through razors. Just crp or corn. That isn't going to hurt your string but sure as will knock an arrow off your rest.

if your worried about something happening to the cord on the limbdriver, you better be worried about your bowstring also. the cord is just loop material and its actually pretty tough. If your walking through brush or corn, you just put your finger up over the arrow.
Yeah I wasn't worried about the cord. I think through type I have not conveyed my point/question clearly. The thing I liked about the QAD besides never having issue is the fact that if I were to move the bow counter clockwise that I didn' have to worry about the arrow falling off since it was already in the up position.
Matter no more anyway since the QAD is SOLD.

So now the question is which Limbdriver. The Pro or Pro-V. The Pro V looks more inviting since it is capture. Anyone have experience with the two? Milo what do you think between the two? You said earlier that capture is a trojan horse I was wondering what you meant specifically.

I have the LD Pro (non-containment) and I've had good luck with it thus far. That being said, I bought it before Vaportrail came out with the LD Pro-V... so if I had the choice between the two, I'm really not sure which one I'd pick. The Pro-V is definitely a good looking rest.

beener, they work off the same concept so i am good with either. i like an open rest so i stay with the original. if you want the brown then i will try to order you one soon. Guys take a look at the TITAN peeps...setup as a dealer and i can get you one. they are working on colors right now and have silver( raw) brown, blue and gold. really sweet titanium peeps. beener i need to know what size you want also.

How often do you hunt from the ground spot and stalk? Or just stalk. How often have you bumped your arrow when your bow is hanging in the tree? I know there are plenty of times i need full containment.

Honestly, I rarely stalk but I hunt from the ground every now and then. If I'm stalking, I seldom have an arrow knocked... And if it is knocked, I have a sims limbsaver arrow holder on the bow shelf that keeps it in place. If the bow gets canted, I simply put my index finger up overtop of the arrow... no big deal, IMO. My bow is on a hanger while I'm in the stand, so bumping the arrow then pretty much never happens... seriously. I've done just fine hunting without full containment and haven't had any reason to go back.
