I'll take a load to the dump when doing scrap. I end up with a good amount of scrap from doing remodels. I go about every 3 months.

I hardly have anything that doesn't burn I can't recycle.

Fuggin Rumpke is keeps sending me a bill and I don't use there service....I burn. They said they found our address on an envelope in the neighbors trash. How do they expect me to send payment when I never contracted their services. Asses...

They told my wife that they wanted our proof that we have permission to burn from the village which we do. Going to tell them to suck a fat one tomorrow.

Might want to double-check your permission first... Last time I checked, it's illegal to burn garbage anywhere in Ohio. Local gov't can set their own burning regs, but those regs can't be any less strict than the state regs... which say no open burning of garbage. That's probably why Rumpke is being so persistent. They must be thinking, "Well, their garbage has to go somewhere, because they can't burn it." Maybe you're not open-burning, though... There are certain exeptions to the rule. I don't know. I'm just thinking out loud here...

Many ordinances are over-ridden if you are heating food....We burnt a stump in town once and used the same hot dog for four days. Local cop stopped on day 2 and 4 to ask if that wiener was done yet........

You can burn in Ohio. Just certain things you can't and it has to be away from a neighbors inhabited property by 500 feet I believe. The EPA rules are crazy anyway but they have a secction about locales allowing it and needing written permission which I have. The EPA has much bigger things to do like slowing the US of A's manufacturing capability to a halt... :)

The magic of the wiener. Our police dept has the same policy. Keep a wienie nearby and you're A OK.

So today I am doing my work schedule and I have time to give Rumpke a call. Started out real nice and started to get heated. Then I get the manager on the phone... She basically said that they were trying to take our money. lol Scanned her my letter from 2009 that I have approval to burn and it is supposed to be taken care of. We will see. The trashman was digging through my neighbors trash today probably looking for this address on something.
