We bought a cheap Admiral (Home Depot off brand) set when we moved in to our apartment back in 2007. The washer made it 4 years before crapping out and the dryer, knock on wood, is still going strong. The people we bought the house off of, left an ancient Kenmore that I pulled over and hooked up when our first first washer crapped out. It has done the job for the past year, but has now decided to shake to pieces on spin and not drain water. I'm not fucking with it any more. Time to move on...

Decisions, decisions...

We have an "in" at Whirlpool that's gets us great pricing on a wide variety of products and companies. After much debate, and factoring in my parents 16+ year success with Maytag appliances, we went that route. We purchased a Maytag Centennial top-load washer to fill that need. With the savings and flat rate shipping, we decided to replace the dishwasher before the kid arrives. Ours is on its last leg and we haven't used it in a couple years. We bought a Maytag JetClean Plus dishwasher with ToughScrub (whatever that may be).

All of this will be delivered and uncrated for $250 less than out local Home Depot. My only regret is not having enough coin the replace the fridge as well!

Sounds like you got a great hook-up. Hope they last for you Jesse.
