Sounded like an interesting hunt! Nice buck you got and that other big one was a dandy! I don't know anything about NASA Plumbrook but does that buck count against your Ohio buck license or is it something special?

That was my buddies buck Chuck. Yes, it counts towards his one buck for Ohio.

In the truck to and from our hunt location about 35-40. I saw maybe 15 while hunting.

I haven't hunted Plumbrook in about 25 yrs. The 1st time I got a nice 9 pt.
The 2nd hunt I drawed a doe only tag and was over run by bucks and got shunked.
At that time there was deer running everwhere all the time.
But the herd may have chanced since then.

The herd has gone through many changes in the last 25yrs. They increased the amount of hunts and tags along the line, then the coyotes go in and started running rampant. Then 9/11 happened and there were not hunts (for 2yrs I believe), now there are only a few. They have diversified by allowing archery hunts in the restricted areas which is nice, but the NASA you knew then is no longer. By far though, a great place to hunt and a very cool government facility.
