I love it! Man I hope this weather clears up so I can get the dogs out! I'm off for the next 9 days:smiley_clap:

I'll get on you tube and just watch the beagles chasing bunnies for hours too get the fix lol..... Hopefully if the wind doesn't do what they're calling for I will be out for a couple hours in the morning.... But 20-30 mph winds..... not good for running them....

I have a hard enough time connecting with a .410 pump or semi auto. For me a .410 Contender pistol is way out of the question.

You fellas ever use a 22 handgun? Like the many of you, I'd rather watch em run than shoot 'em anymore. About 10 years ago I started carrying a HR 22 mag revolver. It's accurate, and I don't have to lug around a shotgun. I kill enough of them to fill a pot, but I don't worry about over-running a bag limit most days. The last couple of years I haven't even been carrying it, since Mason likes to shoot. :) It is a fun way to hunt though.

Back when I was a teenager I used too use a pump up pellet gun... a buddies brother in law used a ruger 22 pistol and alwayideaked the idea just never followed through with it.... now I'm more into the contender idea then the 22 thing.... but you never know what kind of deals you come across day too day lol....

Ha. I do indeed! I still have a Crossman pump 22 pellet gun from my childhood. The seals are out, so I had crossman send me a manual on it a while back. Still haven't put it back together yet. That thing killed a ton of rabbits, squirrels, and birds back in the day. I loved that thing!

I thought about trying the ruger 22 but worried more about the distance the bullet would travel. Like I said before, we hunt with our bows most of the time. We take along step ladders so we get a better view, scatter out in positions and just wait for the dogs to run one by us. I actually limited out once with my bow! I'm going to invest in a better camera so I can get some videos of our hunts to share. I posted this pic on a different thread but it's probably more appropriate here.

Where are you guys hunting? I've not run across more than 1 or 2 in a day in the last few years. This is one of the reasons why I am declaring war on coyotes this year though with current events I dunno what rifle I'm going to be using.

Had 3 up today. Kody got the only one with the 20 gauge 1100.

Molly finally opened up on one today. She just didn't stick with it. I'm hoping she's starting to turn it on.

My buddy Dave's dog did pretty good. She ran all 3 excellent.

Congrats to Kody...nice pic!

We ran a bunch yesterday and I missed 3 with the bow and my son missed 1. Still had a great time watching the dogs run.
