The chase is on...


Posting up & listening to the dogs. The dogs had at least 3 rabbits up during this run. Ended up with two.



Nash waiting for a shot. You had to really pick your shots & be watching since the cover was so thick.

Shoot 'em up & Clean 'em up. Buckmaster & "J" made quick work of the rabbits.



old scout & "J" shoud've been timed. They had that rabbit gutted & skinned out in no time at all.









Off to one last spot to see if we can get another run for the dogs...

And now, WE EAT LIKE VIKINGS!!!!

We had soooo much food it was ridiculous. Everything was great & I only took a few pictures since I was TOO busy eating.

Fullbore, you need to post up the recipe for this dish... talk about good food that sticks to your ribs!



Can't remember who prepared this particular venison dish (Buckmaster maybe?) but it was outstanding! Buckmaster also brought some dip that you could just eat with a spoon it was so good.



Cotty's got a hell of a "Man Cave" to hang out at. You add in a bar that never ran dry, some really nice buck mounts, with Steelers stuff mixed in and you've got a winning combination.

Every time you turned around Jesse was cooking up more grub. And there wasn't any shortage of people to help eat it!!

It was a great weekend - finally got to meet some of the guys that I've wanted to for awhile. Thanks for being great hosts, Mike and Kendra...and thanks for the free birth control of your daughter waking me up this morning! You guys have a great family - Old Scout included!

Venison Backstrap Recipe
Leave backstrap whole, remove all silver skin, etc.
Marinate 24-48 hours in: 1/3 parts of Soy Sauce, Worechester Sauce, Red Wine Vinegar, and your choice of season spice. The Red Wine Vinegar is the key. Grill on high to medium rare/medium and serve.

Salmon Dip Recipe
Skin and debone salmon, boil fillets with a little salt until done, shread salmon, add diced scallion onion, sour cream, mayonaise, cream cheese, and vegetable dip mix. Mix and chill for at least 2 hours. Serves best over crackers or bread.

Enjoy.

Katie and my niece sure took a liking to your Katie. That poor dog didn't know what hit her. Lol

I loved how she slept in the bed the girls made her.

Thanks Ben! I've got some salmon fillets in the freezer. I'll have make a batch of that dip up when we have my son's BDay party next month. That stuff was great!



Guys... I weighed myself when I got home today and I'll be damned if I'm not a few pounds heavier than what I weighed in at on Friday. rotflmao I can't get over the food we had.

Backstraps done at least 3 different ways

Venison stew
Venison taco salad
Cream cheese, bacon wrapped duck breast
Goose balls
Grilled shrimp
Salmon Dip
Venison Sticks
Venison Summer Sausage
Homemade Salsa
Fried perch
Venison Burgers (which I'm grilling up for lunch tomorrow... thanks Rick!)

I know I'm missing some more things in there TOO, but good lord we ate some amazing foods last night!!!
