GFCI help please

I think maybe it was the GFCI. On the old one, when I tried to plug in the heater (which wasn't on) the GFCI tripped before I could get it plugged in all the way.

The new one let me plug in the heater without tripping.

So, that's my non-electrical, never-stayed-in-a-Holiday-Inn deduction! Hope I'm right!

we use the plug in gfci's at work all the time, they will go bad. Especially if it gets damp.

Some big job they had, but he's in PA now. On his way home.

Some gfcis have reset switches. If anything gets messed up you just need to press the reset button.
