I gotta say CJ - your same-cal combo is sure a lot prettier than mine :smiley_crocodile:

Thanks Dan! Its taken the better part of my adult life to "marry" these TOO. The Redhawk has been kinda sluty over the years,
(having gone through several suitors until finding that "nice young marlin boy")

I think the tactical benefits are comforting. 2 different guns for close and reaching out, same ammo. and lots of it.
What's cool is your in Another club now. The Combo club. Your pictures will be expected after the weekend as promised!

I hope they become legal for gun season!

Someday I hope. It seems Ohio really doesn't have much objection to it except the 3 round limit.
I Have a Ruger 44 mag. Deerslayer auto that works just great. Used several times in the past on crop permits.
Nice combo.

No picture yet but I posted a DEAL up in the For Sale Ads.
Russian IZ-144 7-2 KO Biathlon 22 Mag. rifle. One of the most accurate and slickest type of bolt action there is. It has a toggle type of bolt similar to the Browning T-bolt.

Shotgun is a Remington 870 synthetic stock. It has the rifled barrel. I put on a Cabelas Slugger EXT 3x9 scope.

The rifle is a Ruger 10/22 carbine. It came with the BSA 3x9 scope.

I can't wait to get out and get them broken in.

That is what I thought but didn't want to guess wrong and look like the idiot I am. Those are two staples in anyone's safe. 12g pump and a nice 22 are must haves. You picked two good ones as well!

I recently wanted to get into muzzleloading so I purchased this T/C Impact not too long ago. I settled on it as an affordable entry-level muzzleloader. My priority right now is a scope and practice. I've settled on a Nikon ProStaff as an affordable scope and as high as I can afford ATM :smiley_chinrub:

This is a S&W US Army Issue M1917 Revolver. It shoots .45 Rimmed or .45Auto with clips. I bought it for my dad from a guy for $150 because the original owners grandson polished off all the original finish trying to remove rust thinking he was "restoring it". Should have left it alone. Was a distant relatives sidearm in WW1 as he provided some provenance from his relative who fought in the 148th Infantry.

I had a need to pull the trigger today.

Shot my .22, dang thing LOVES those Federal GameShox. Minute-o-Squirrel's head at 75 feet with ease.

Also shot the 9mm. Chest group is 10 @ 15 ft, head group is 9/10 @15 feet. Room for improvement, but I was happy enough. Really haven't shot this gun much but it was cycling aluminum and regular Blazer Brass w/ no jams or failures.

Come to think of it, I don't believe I've posted pictures of this handgun. It's a Stoeger Cougar in 9mm. Beretta used to make the Cougar, but sold the equipment to Stoeger who makes them in Turkey now. I got a good deal on this one and this is a heck of a gun for the price. It's solid and fun to shoot.

It's identical to the older Beretta Cougars and very similar to the Beretta PX4's.

I thought you'd appreciate the earring hole flier :)
