Finally had a chance to sit down and read your story Ric. I've met a lot of great people from the forums over the years, but very few have the passion for the sport that you and Ron possess. You truly are a gifted hunter and this buck was just another in a long line of great deer you've got the upper hand on over the years. Hell of a great buck and I'm couldn't imagine a better person to reap the rewards than you my friend!

I am not sure how I totally missed this story.. Great read, felt like I was right there with ya! Congrats on a beautiful mature buck!
Just giving an update on Characters mount. Stacey dropped off his buck Redemption today and said Derry finished up on Character today and that I can pick him up anytime. I'll have to wait till next Tuesday when I'm going through Zanesville on my way to my moms for Thanksgiving. Stacey took a few pics and sent them TOO me and I'm very pleased on how he turned out. I'm so glad I went with this pose! I will post more pics once I get him home on the wall over the fireplace but I thought I'd share these early pics for now.

You definetly gave him the right name. Wow! He's got plenty of it. And that was a guick turnaround. I drop my buck off to my taxi. and was told would not be ready for over a yr.

He looks awesome, Ric! Derry did a great job. Coincidentally, I picked the exact same pose for my buck this year. I don't have one with that pose, so it seemed as good a choice as any. I really like the way your's turned out!
