Did my traditional walk around the property carrying a one of my Grandfathers shot guns. A tradition I have done (for all but a few years), for over 40 years.
Lay around for a while.
Shower
Then over to Moms to gorge. :smiley_bril:

Love reading the replies. Sounds like we have many blessed and fortunate members here. Lots to be thankful for.

Thus far, I started my day hunting. Came home and napped a bit. Ran to the store for my wife. Went out and burnt up a tank of gas in the chainsaw. Sharpened chain and refueled. Came back in to change. Was put to work again, so I slipped off to my bed to catch up on TOO and maybe another nap. If the in laws get on my nerves today and I will be firing up the chainsaw again. Maybe I better nap. I am guessing that chainsaw won't have time to get cold today. Haha

I had Turkey, stuffing, ham, corn, mashed potato's on a paper plate alone in my trailer here at the rig. Think that makes 4 out of 5 years.

Thanks J. Been TOO busy fixing froze up lines to hang with Da Boys today. It's all good, just miss seeing my daughter, Laura and family. Always happens this time of year. It's cold out there and when I could be getting some sleep I can't.

Don't care what you say, there's no better stuffing than uncle Jerry's stuffing.

I survived the inlaws. Didn't have to go out to fire up the chainsaw once. Sat with the kids because old Brutus was hovering. He is a good dog, but has gotten a little crusty in his old age. Wanted to be sure he didn't snap at the kids as they wandered all over the house teasing him with food. He didn't. In fact, he was on his best behavior. I ended up giving him some special Turkey Day treats.

Food was phenomenal and 90% prepped by my wife. We didn't go traditional. 2 dishes of lasagna, one other pasta dish, shrimp scampi, and a ham. Momma went to town. Add in all the desserts and good side dishes from everyone else and it was over the top.

Hope you all are enjoying your turkey coma.

My first drink of the day was a Sam Adams Winter Lager at 11AM. Killed that, 2 Oktoberfests and some blackberry pie at my parents, then 3 more Oktoberfests, 6 Busch heavies and the rest of the quart of pie at the in-laws. I had an adult Thanksgiving!!!

Spent the day with the in-laws after a short morning bunny/pheasant hunt.

Then watched my Steelers lose a tough one to Ryan's Ravens with my brothers.

Tomorrow it's Thanksgiving with my side of the family. Then maybe and evening hunt before I DJ some karaoke at the bar up the street. Should be a fun evening!

Happy Belated Thanksgiving everyone in TOO nation!

Started the day by filling my antlerless tag. Dinner at my parents and then supper at the nursing home with my 101 year old grandma. Now I am following the wife around shopping. If I make it home by 6:30 I just might try to hang another doe.
