Went out for my brothers gfs birthday last night, and woke up with the bar receipt in my underwear. Trying to figure this one out...

Oh yeah and the tab was $220. Damn it.

Been a string of bummers for me lately, but I got a text that lifted me up a little today.

Several of you have met my buddy Jackson. He's helped me track deer before, and even pushed a wounded deer to me once that we finished off. About 10 years ago I tried to get him to shoot a gun for the first time and he wouldn't do it. A little over a year ago he got the gun bug and now owns more than me! Well he asked about duck hunting and I told any time he wanted to go, just say the word.

He sent me a text today of his first hunting license and duck stamps. So come opening day of duck season I'll get to take one of my oldest friends on his first hunt of any kind. To my knowledge, he's never killed an animal intentionally. He followed up that pic with "I'm so pumped". Same here buddy!

My sister in law gets out of the hospital here in a few minutes. She was admitted Tuesday with Aniphilactic shock from some kind of allergic reaction. It was a little crazy driving her to the ER and she's stabbing her thigh with the epipen. Their still not completely sure what it was but they are finishing up all the test's. Her and her kids have been staying with us for a couple weeks because she lost a neutral somewhere in her house, it's actually a cobbled mess with live wires under the house and whatnot and we are running new stuff for her. I realized this week that Im glad my wife and I stopped at 1 kid. Not that they've been terrible, but their parents ideas of discipline and mine are a little different. I think it's more of a culture shock for them being asked to clean up after themselves and to not rough house on furniture, and eating meals at a kitchen table. Anyways, hoping she's OK and her test's come back OK.

Put in 41hrs in 2 days. The time off I do not recall getting more than 1/2 hour sleep between phone calls. Some of the "time off" I did not actually get to sleep. I would lay down but the phone would ring every 5-10min. Why in the TOO good thread? Crashed out last night and got nearly 6hrs sleep. Don't feel rested, but don't feel like I did when I put my head down. Awoke to texts and phone ringing from a complaining customer. I returned the phone call. "Yeah, um. . . .we don't plow your lot. You are calling the wrong person." lmao

Looking forward to lazing around the house with the kids today. The hours are hellish on long duration snow events like the one we just had but when you do the invoicing it has a way of making you forget how tired you were and how many hours you put in. Best part of this snow was we were blessed with another safe event. I don't care about the dollars when the snow is falling. I always pray to keep my guys safe, my mind clear, and ask for the guidance to be a strong leader and ability to manage our resources to keep our customers happy. If your guys are safe, and customers are properly serviced, the dollars will follow later. We were blessed with a good snow event the last couple days. Hope you guys had safe adventures in the snow as well.
