Braxton will stay and he needs to stay. We cover corners and speed at the ends on D. My guess is Hyde is gone. If we can patch those holes with some better leadership from both players and coaches, we'll regain the respect we've lost. That and when we clean up this sorry excuse of a schedule we play.
That is what I saw. Buckeyes were not without talent this season. Miller HAS talent. Not so sure he is a great leader though. They call in plays from sideline and he runs them. What they failed to maintain was momentum in my view. When they started to get momentum it seemed like they just couldn't keep it. To me the only explanation is lack of leadership. Couldn't think of any other explanation.
Seeing the offense in action once they started to get their crap together most definitely displayed the talent our offense has. Playing the number one defense and moving on them and scoring was a great display of their offensive talent.
The defense? I like Luke Fickle. Stating he hasn't improved in the last couple games is not fair to him in my opinion. They didn't get get a ton of challenge until the last couple games. Inability to adjust two games in a row? Just not sure if this is indicative of Luke's coaching or indicative of a plain and simple week defense. Not a "bad" defense by any means. Just not a national championship worthy defense.
It was a good game to watch. Michigan State deserves to win. Love my Buckeyes, but I know where to give credit where it is deserved. The Spartans deserve some credit in this one.
