That is a cool looking buck! Real happy for you. I would say you maximized the use of the time you had to hunt for sure. Good stuff!

Have you taken any longer shots than 100yds yet? My buddy sighted in his Savage 220 at my place with me. We were able to get back to 170-180yds. Groups were phenomenal even at the further range. I was extremely impressed and he was very pleased as well. You got yourself one fine piece of weaponry there!

Unfortunately, no. I haven't been to a range with it yet where a shot over 100 yds was feasible. I really want to try a few long range shots, though. I know the gun is more than capable, but I'd like to see if I'm capable. lol

Congrats on a great hunt and cool looking buck. I broke in my new 220 this season also. What an amazing gun this is. I shot the fedaral trophy coppers 3" but the accutips were just as accurate. I took a 60 yard shot and put it on her neck and she never took another step. Congrats again.

I got to see Steve's gun at camp and that baby is sweet! I love my Savage .17 and the 220 is just as nice of a gun and that trigger is one awesome piece of work!
