I hope the rest of them tell A&E to stick it. Walk away and someone else will certainly pick them up. If they are in it for publicity, I don't think they could generate anymore publicity than to have all of them tell A&E to stick it. The ones screaming and crying are not the majority. They were not watching the show anyway. Seems the majority of people in this country are Christian and either conservative or middle of the road. I would love to see this backfire for A&E.

The robertsons have to be considering this, they've already made a HUGE name for theirselves and probably see that in their duck call sales too. But with how close their family is and their beliefs I wouldn't be surprised if they all left. I'd applaud them for it.

If I remember correctly wasn't this going to be Phil's last season on the show anyway. I remember hearing about this back in the spring of this year. What a way to end it. Publicity all the way and DD walks away winners in the end. They get out of their contract with A&E and sales jump on all the merchandise they have started other then just their calls and they get a new contract on another network. I am sure they will leave and be picked up by another network in no time. Pure geniuses if you ask me. Keeps them in the limelight until the new network gets them under contract and gets a few episodes filmed too.

Hell yeah, another network wants them, but as long as they're in contract with A&E, they're stuck. This is a great way to have that contract end, by A&E severing ties, & with their approval ratings go even higher, the next network, whose probably been in secret negotiations, are licking their chops. At least that's one way to look at it.
