Very happy for you Huck! This hunt and buck will be forever etched into your memory. I agree with JB, you are progressing as a hunter. Hunting hard,learning from mistakes and putting some venison in the freezer is where it starts. Congrats again and thanks for sharing.

Dad finished the butchering today while I was out hunting. Not sure how many packages/pounds we got, but a lot! I threw a ground patty on the grill and he's a tasty deer...

I posted when I shot this deer last year that I was planning on just keeping the skull plate and antlers, similar to how my dad has his buck.

I received a great finished product today from my dad. First buck and something that I will cherish forever. My two turkey fans are mounted with the same simple wood plaque, so its a great addition to the wall.

I hadn't thought of framing a pic under it, that is a great idea...and I think that the Subu one would be the one to do!
