Congrats on a great buck. I would say in the mid 150s. If you get a tape on him let us know.

Thank you everyone..it was nothing more than being in the right place at the right time. I had only hunted that piece of property one other time on the gun opener. In those two times I've seen 16 deer. It's only 20 acres of nasty steep hillside to a creek bottom. I knew when I got down to him that I recognized him from pictures. Two buddies of mine that hunt pieces of ground close to where I was had pics of him from October and November but never saw him on the hoof. Still feeling really blessed thank you again. Also does anyone have any mounts with the new McKenzie 6900 form?

ha the only thing that I know I always have on every hunt is a deer tattoo lol..I used to think I had a lucky shirt that I wore all the time but I don't even know where it went lol..I know I have something bringing me luck because I probably don't deserve the nice ones I've killed..I'm still a firm believer that you can put a ton of work into killing deer patterning them etc. and still the biggest part of killing nice deer is pure luck and divine intervention..

You said it all right there! Never...ever...feel guilty for being fortunate to take a trophy buck. It may be many years before it happens again....trust me on that one. lol

Congrats on an incredible buck!

Thanks Spencie..I'd like to think my run of luck will keep going. But I know eventually it'll have to run out. So far I've put one on the wall in 05, 07, 08, 09, 11, 12, and 14 (13 season)..in 06 I was deployed and in 10 I settled for a lesser buck unfortunately.. I'd like to keep it going lol.

That's a heck of a roll you are on! Congratulations man!!! Got any pics you can share of your other deer? I'd love to read how your hunts went down with those as well and I'm sure others would too! That's awesome! Gotta them all mounted on the same wall in a man cave or something?
