I got plenty of corn and alfalfa for them TOO eat!

That's a good thing! One of my properties borders a Pheasants Forever field and they leave standing corn up all season. The deer are most likely in there.

They probably wont come out of there either with these conditions! The standing corn makes for a decent wind stopper.

Had to cancel my hunt this evening. Its the ol lady's last day off for the week and she wants me to spend some family time, and my cousin just lost his job and has a 2 year old girl. His woman is the only one working so my brother and my woman are going to take him up about 20 pounds of venison and pork I got out of the freezer. Spending time and helping family is more important. But the ol lady works tomorrow and I'll be huntin!

I'm just not feeling like freezing my butt off in a tree stand these next two days. If there's no ducks or geese around to chase then I'll be back out with the bow once it warms back up to the mid 20's or higher.

I couldnt imagine hunting today. WOW, my phone says -4 feels like -25. Fire and chilli sounds good tonight.

We saw 10 doe yesterday ina group. They were a hundred yds off with really no clear paths to shoot through. I just sat there and counted. Then there was kids riding 4 wheelers around, so we left. Usually I wouldnt let the 4 wheelers bother me, but we weren't too excited to be out and it about to start raining. It was sprinkiling at that point.

I'm in a blind right now with 2 pairs of long johns, jeans, sweater, arctic boots, bibs, coat, ski mask, 2 pairs of socks, foot warmers and a heater and I'm a little chilly. Dragging a deer is going to suck.

I for one don't feel this super cold weather will kill real any number of deer off. If it did there would be no deer up North. I read the deer will just lie up and wait it out. When the weather breaks on Wed.-Thurs. it should be a gang buster of deer movement. IMHO

I think I might even go out tomorrow night and try and get one for my brother. Or hell just give something more for the family to talk about the old man.

If you guys shoot one I wouldn't even bother field dressing it if you got a short drag, but the chest cavity is mighty warm!

I walked down back behind the house just to see what might be milling around the hillside. Dear Lord! No way you could sit in this and keep your sanity. Unless you have a heated Taj Mahal like Joe and some others do with a heater.
