That's a heck of a roll you are on! Congratulations man!!! Got any pics you can share of your other deer? I'd love to read how your hunts went down with those as well and I'm sure others would too! That's awesome! Gotta them all mounted on the same wall in a man cave or something?

X2 on what Ric said! We'd love TOO hear some stories!

Thanks..most of my mounts are not monsters by any means just respectable deer. They go anywhere from 110 to my one I just got..they were mounted because they're all bow kills but the last two..they are in my den in the basement on two walls..the lighting sucks but I'll try and get a few pics. I would have pages to write of the stories but I'd rather try to remain humble there are way better hunters and writers on here with much bigger deer. My mounts are there because they mean something to me and remind me how the Good Lord has blessed me. Thank you again everyone.

That's cool Zach! The size of the racks are irreverent for me! I just love reading other hunters successful or nearly successful hunts. The best one I read this year was Ryan(redhead hunter's) stalk on a slob he saw locked down with a doe.

Congrats again on your successes and feel free to take some time and share any hunt in the Deer Hunting Archive Forum or Trophy Room Forum. I would hope anyone would feel free to do the same thing. Just like sharing hunting stories around a campfire......:smiley_coolpeace:

Can't seem to get the right angles to show them together but here are individuals.

Great looking wall! Which one is your most favorite deer and why?
That's a tough one..I'd say probably the 8pt in the middle on top..he was my first one mounted..i am a self taught bow hunter and that was the one that got me on the board. No one else in my family hunts. My grandad got me started and everything else I learned has been through magazines videos the internet and lots of mistakes.. that day I killed him it was raining cats and dogs. I got up and looked outside and was like I ain't hunting in that and argued with myself for 3 hrs. It finally let up enough to convince myself to go..I got in stand at 930 and 10 minutes later he showed up..I made a perfect shot at 20 yds and he took three steps and stood there..all I could do was stand there and shake until he finally fell right there.. I fell apart..wasn't even that big but to me he might as well have been a booner lol..I paraded him around for a whole day I think..I remember like it was yesterday.

Pretty cool account Zach! Yes, the first one most definitely stands out! The memories of all of them are priceless no doubt! Stories like your first one there, where you wrestle with the thought of not going for whatever reason and change your mind to be rewarded after a short hunt are the ones that don't seem to come around as often as we'd like...lol. The hunts that took the most work or sacrifice along with fighting the weather elements, boredom and Murphy's Law always feel the most rewarding.
Thanks for sharing your pictures and your story of your first.

Thanks for sharing Zach. That's a very impressive wall you have. You have surely been blessed.
I am like Ric, and really enjoy reading stories of someone's success or even close encounters. Thanks for sharing your story of your first wall hanger.
