I checked out that new piece of woods this morning, figuring if anyone was hunting it they would be there today. Didn't see any sign of anyone having been in there, lots of scratchings, but didn't hear any birds. I got there a little late for my walk though, it was around 8. I'm sure there are turkeys in there, but I'll have to hear one before I get excited. I'm getting picky with turkeys. I only want to hunt the loudmouths. Keeps me from missing my bride while I'm away from the house...

Well had a great weekend, got a lot done around the house Friday and capped it off with a great dinner with my lovely bride and a coworker and Saturday fished a tourney with my buddy Shawn and topped it off with another great meal with my lovely bride and woke up this morning finished my last brake job on my Z71 and went too the range with my wife and shot the pistols had a blast lol.... Came home and my daughter called and said she wanted too take my wife and I out too dinner for my last free weekend before my deployment so @ 5:15 we met at the Resturant and walked in too a bunch of my fishing buddies who surprised me with a going away party lol.... Had a blast and a few beers with some great folks..... Going too miss the shenanigans with the guys lol....

Awesome j congrats!! Where you headed? My step son got back from Afghanistan about a year ago I believe, good luck in your journey.


Well I got 2 out of the 3 mineral sites started and found 3 tiny morels left them till after the storms , got one of my 2 piece food plots planted, very fertile soil freshly cleared woods on the backside of the pond and got the eagles nest "32' at the seat" buddy stand semi set up today oh and 2 cams rolling
