Anything under .40 is pretty good, under .35 is really good. From what I have seen that is. ;)

Now you are approaching reloaded cost if you already have fired brass.

Bullets 10-20 cents
Primers 3 cents
Powder 8 cents

Cost 21-31 cents

If you can find the componets.

Aimsurplus is kick ass. Great prices and never gouged.

Between them, Vance's and CDNN I can get what I want at a great price.

Download an app on your phone called AmmoFinder. It searches hundreds of websites that sell ammo and keeps an eye out when new stock is posted or prices change. You can set what calibers and maximum price per round you're willing to pay, it will alert you whenever a site puts up ammo at or below that price per round.

Here is a couple screen shots from the app

Clicking on the listing will tell you what it is.

From there you can click to go to the site and buy it direct. Just watch shipping. And always search for an aditional coupon code. Free shipping etc.

Wolf steel will in no way shapre or form go through my AR. I bought some at Wal-Mart and every 2-3 shot it hangs up. Dont know much about their brass.

The link was for wolf brass cased ammo. The steel has a lacquer on it which can mess with feeding. It also is really tough on barrels.

We've been selling 100's of cases of Hornady steel case 223 for 2 yrs. now and never a problem or complaint.
I would try it in a different magazine for AR. More inclined to believe it's not the steel cased ammo causing the problem.

I went to Buckeye Outdoors the other evening with the intent of buying the S&W. They still had it on sale. My wife was even with me & letting me pull the trigger so to speak. I just couldn't justify the cost though. I suck. I went home & ordered one of Gamo's 1300 fps rifles instead. I'll get more use out of that.

The Ammunition Store

http://ammunitionstore.com/

It's on online bulk retailer located in North Canton. I took my CCW class with a few of the employees a few years ago and have been buying from them ever since. You can walk in if you don't want to have ammo shipped to you. I just paid a little less than .33 cents a round for .223 55gr FMJ Wolf Gold Brass Case Boxer Primed rounds. They shoot great and are reloadable. My wifes DPMS eats them up, they cycle well. My AR-10 looks at them and chuckles......Anyway, if you're looking for a bulk retailer you can walk into and buy ammo from, there ya go.
