Whelp, I got a lot of much needed stuff done yesterday and one of em was washing up the remainder of my/our hunting clothes and storing them away in the totes. I let them air dry on the zip line behind the house all day before last nights rains. Also packed away the other loose hunting stuff and inventoried my cameras(all 3 of em...lol) resetting them and checking batteries and cards. Gonna stop and pick up some salt/mineral blocks today on the way home from work and get my cams back out next week. Kinda slacked off on them this spring.

Funny thing, I ran across several pretty full bottles of scent eliminating sprays(Primo Silver and HS brands) that I'm gonna give to my neighbor since I haven't used them in the last 3 years...lol. Do they have a shelf life? Hahaha

Bottomline, its a great feeling having all my clothes stored away and clean ready to be smoked sometime this late summer or fall....that's TOO good!:smiley_coolpeace:

Way to be on the ball Ric! Here it is May and I have no minerals out and no cameras out. Honestly, I feel little to no desire to be out there. What I'd like is to set some cams over a good pond/backwater to see what ducks are around!!!

I'm hoping this fall I end up getting this itch you and Rutin have for ducks. Going to put a valiant effort to make things happen. The old man is a veteran to duck hunting but we never hunted ducks in PA only deer and when he hunted ducks I was too little. He retires this fall and I recruited him to come up and pass his knowledge on to me on these flying critters.

I remember scoffing at the guys who told me to beware when I took it up because it would eventually eat in to my bowhunting. At the time, I could not imagine such nonsense! Now, fuck deer. lmao If I'm going to work my ass off for the sake of enjoying the outdoors, spending time with friends and putting meat in the freezer, I'll chase ducks any day now over deer. Short of enjoying a few good bow hunts and spending time with the wife/family/friends during the gun seasons, I am taking a leave of absence from deer hunting for a while. I'd rather waterfowl hunt right now and I have limited time to pursue passions these days, so waterfowl it is!!!

It's funny how a lil push will fire you back up. This morning before I clocked in a guy on midnight shift comes up and shows me a dandy nice buck he got on cam recently. Fuggar is in Northern KY but had bases as big as your wrist and looked like he might be having forked brows.
I stopped by a TS on my way home and got two trace mineral blocks and loaded up the quad with my wicked saw and 3 cameras and boogied out to the farm. Got two over the blocks and one over a worn down path along the creek bottom where I killed Character. Gonna stay away for 3 weeks and swap cards and batteries then. I would stay away longer but my batteries were less than 1/2 power and don't want to waste time on dead cams.
Feeling pretty good right now so I'll have me a couple beers to celebrate!:pickle:

Nothing wrong with that Jesse! Do what floats your boat and enjoy it brother!

I put trophy rock 465 out at our land with an apple salt block on top. Yesterday I put a regular trophy rock out at my best property and got ate alive by the skeeters cause I forgot the bug spray. Cams are up and running at both sites.

All this hunting talk...pfft.

I've spent the last two mornings catching saugeyes. Life aint all bad even if it isn't deer season. Speaking of deer, my landowner in Fayette sent me a pic of a buck fawn he found the other day. Pretty neat, hope the yotes don't find him!

My grandson will be starting kindergarten this fall. This morning I had to take him to some orientation-testing thing.

When he arrived at my house, here was our conversation:

Me: Hey Zaden, guess what? Mamaw gets to go to school today.
Zaden: Mamaw, you can't go to school, you're just driving.
Me: No, I'm going to school and I'm so excited. Maybe we can be in the same class next year!
Zaden: But Mamaw, you have to be good in school.
Me: No, YOU have to be good in school. I'm 105 and I can do what I want.
Zaden: (giggling) That's a good one, Mamaw. But I don't think we better be in the same class.

lmao lmao

Very cute Diane. That is a fun age for sure.

Bad news: I am flippin' whipped. I have put in 62hrs in the last 4 days. Don't remember what I did on Monday but I am sure it was at least 10hrs.
Good news: My guys got a bunch done this week and I have my paver patio nearly done.

Got to see Kid Rock last Sunday FINALLY! He did not disappoint!

Checked on my mineral sites and was overly pleased with the results so far. I raised the salt content and the activity increased X3! (I use 100# Stock Salt 50# Trace Minerals with Vitamins A D and E 12# of Di-Cal)

Day did not go as planned. My daughter was hit it the mouth with a softball today at her game. 6hrs later I got to start my day. It was not very productive. I post in the TOO Good thread because I am thankful it was not worse. She is sore. She is on a liquid diet. They put a temporary splint on there. Somehow in the chaos, a lady appeared from the bleachers. She had been thru this with her son last year. They told her to push the teeth back in the sockets ASAP. It made sense to me in order to maintain a blood supply to the teeth and nerves and roots. I did so and had her bite down on a towel all the wah to the ER. The doctors and dentist said it was the best thing we could have done. Crossing our fingers and hoping there is no permenant damage. Just thankful she didn't take it in the temple or eye or suffer an injury which couldn't be repaired. Short term discomfort but praying for long term positives.
