I've got a new bow so I'm shooting a whole lot right now. The stands went up a couple weeks ago. The beard is in full effect. I'm ready to go!

Finally got with it this weekend. Replaced some screw in steps with a ladder yesterday, pulled a pretty good cam pull as well. Trimmed some new lanes on an existing stand and Hung a new one today.
Gonna start shooting more this week.

Mason and I went to our first 3 D shoot of the season Sunday. We have not been shooting much at all this summer due to just being too darn busy. We flipped a few arrows this week, but not many. I had to wipe the dust off my bubble at the shoot. :) Anyway, Mason seems to be good to go this season with his compound. He shot a 279, which is pretty darn good, especially considering he hadn't been shooting much. Today, I adjusted/changed his draw length since he has grown a good bit lately. I wish I'd had time to make the adjustment last week as his shooting, though good, improved tremendously with a slightly longer draw. Big fun, planning for the upcoming season!

He is indeed. We'll just need to pretty up some arrows and hang a stand or two that he can shoot his bow out of and we'll be ready.

I hung my first stand yesterday after work and before the rain we were supposed to get but like usual the weather man missed it again by(in my best Don Adams voice as Maxwell Smart)....."THAT MUCH!"

I need to shed about 20-30 pounds! Plum wore my arms out holding on to the tree while cranking in a dozen steps. My arms felt like tight as hell when I was done! Anywho, one down and 5 to go....Fugg me!:smiley_blackeye:

The bug is certainly creeping into Highland Co as well. We just put up a trailcam!!!! Ric, we put it in the little gully behind Bill's dad's pond, the part you said reminds you of Iowa. We are hoping to find one particular deer. We'll probably haew more cams tomorrow in hopes of finding him. Even if he is still alive, I haven't a clue how we'd set up for him without him knowing we are there. All part of the fun, thinking about it!

I hope you get him on camera! If he's anything like Mason says he is he'll be a giant! Hope you guys catch him this season! I will make the trip to see him in person if ya do! I'd love to be in on the track and drag! Hint hint....

I'll be sure to call if he gets him. We just returned from putting up another camera. Bill told me about a mineral lick I never knew was there so we hung a cam on it. Its on the edge of a bean field, the camera is actually set up in the beans! We should get him there if he's still around, big tracks in the hole, hope he comes back by soon.

I'll be back to reality around 3AM this morning and I have every intention of checking cams tomorrow. I still have plenty of stand prep and food plots to get in, but I'm getting the itch!

Awaiting my camera order to arrive. Would like to pull one stand, move another. If I get ambitious I will plant a fall plot on my property. Probably just skip it though. Just a matter of shooting more now.

Love seeing the kids out with you Sean. Got ambitious today. Cameras showed up yesterday. Set them up, loaded the UTV and boys, and off we went. Pulled a stand. Checked and re-secured a stand. Swapped a camera card. 4 blurry pics during setup? Bummer. Guess it needs batteries. Cleared a path and hung a new camera. Tested 4x4 capabilities of the UTV. passed test. Cleared another area for a stand. Hung it. Opened shooting lanes. Hung second new camera. Two properties ready to roll. Need to check stand on one other property. Everything else is climber country or LW sticks and Millennium. Just need to shoot more.
