beer braised squirrel

As requested by outdoorsfellar

4 to 6 squirrels, deboned
6 sausage links, cut up
1 onion, finely chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes
2 tablespoons hot sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
2 teaspoons dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 (12 ounce) good beer (I used widmer brothers okto fest)

Put everything in crock pot cook on low for 7 hours

Man that looks good, thanks for sharing!

What is the "temp" of this after cooked? I can not do spicy items so I was looking to remove hot sauce and chili powder if needed.

I've got a Widmer brothers brrrrrrrbon ale from 11,12 and 13. I might have to try this with one of them.

Yours was probably a 12 ozer though.

My boss made this with six squirrels and had it cooking in the crock pot when his son found it and ate it...the entire fugging crock pot full! He didn't even get to try it.
