First deer with Chronic Wasting Disease diagnosed in Ohio

I know this is probably a dumb question but I am not an experienced hunter. Why would they ban baiting?

Baiting brings in multiple deer to the bait pile, therefore spreading the disease faster.

Deer are social herding animals - the have physical contact daily - licking - sniffing - nursing - fighting - sleeping together - tasting their pee and poop - licking branches - mineral licks - feeding on ag products - drinking from the same pool - eating soil - eating from the same plant - tree and shrub - baiting don't mean squat in the grand scheme of things - just a easy target out of frustration - the problem is CAPATIVE DEER & ELK FARMS - TRANSPORTATING DEER TO OHIO FROM REAGONS WITH CWD - cwd is transmitted from animal to animal - soil to animal and plant to animal - once a deer fam has cwd its TOXIC - how are you going to clean up the soil and etc - because of the long incubation period the states testing
program is bogus - OUT LAW CAPATIVE DEER AND ELK FARMS - there is not medical treatment for CWD dang :BS2:

If I remember correctly it waste deer farmers that lobbied to be categorized as agriculture and moved out from under the DOW. As we've seen with our DOW lobbying is very effective in this state.

Looks like I wasn't the only one to slap the DOA with with a open records request. I got the list today also but was traveling back from an out of state funeral and haven't had the chance to put it up yet. This however is only the beginning.
