Yep, probably do, at least I think enough of myself and my limited knowledge not to spend $300 of my money on a piece of crap. Do you have a problem with that? You are taking this way too personal and it is not and was not intended that way. Why do you want to make this personal?

A member said he was looking for a gun. You posted one that you saw that was available, I looked at it and posted my opinion that I don't think he or anyone else would be happy with THAT gun. You asked why, I told you why, you said well someone bought it and again I gave you my opinion of yes, they were very foolish to pay $300 for that gun. In my opinion they were foolish then and they are still foolish. If you compare the condition and the unknowns about that gun versus all of the other guns that can be had on the used market or even a new one, that was a rotten, crappy, gun at a terrible price for it's condition that you could see much less what the barrel and action must look like based upon how well the owner took care of the outside of the gun!

Carpn, did my comments keep you from buying this gun?

Here it is in all of it's splendor. http://www.gunsamerica.com/946458371/HARRINGTON-RICHARDSON-158-357-MAXIMUM-RIFLE.htm

So since you want to take this to a personal level, tell me why you want to keep pushing this? Is it because I didn't think the gun you found was a worthy deal and said so? Did you buy the gun and you feel you made a poor decision? I don't get it, what is your issue with this?

I am not taking anything personal and you can spend your money however you want, I dont care, its your money. Carpn asked a question and I answered it, simple. A simple google search, first paragraph. How come you didnt direct Carpn to any of the many guns available for so much less in so much better condition? You ASSUME the action and barrel are in poor condition among other things. How do you compare "unknowns" about anything? I am simply pointing out the fact that you dont know the condition of the gun by looking at a picture, obviously , that bothers you. Dont assume Lundy, you know what they say about assuming. And since you are wondering, no I didnt nor do I know who purchased that gun. Nor do I care. Nothing personal.
