Damn I've really tried but can't get through a whole race. But did watch the Indy 500 last year.
I have a SIL and that's the only thing she talks about. I'm polite and explain I have no idea who're talking about.

One of my bucket listers is to go to the Bristle night race. Just once!

Been too Bristol for a night race and been too the Bristol spring race 4 times.... Always a blast.... Short track racing is a lot of fun too watch and you can see the whole race unfold in front of you... Watching on TV you only get a small part.... There's dozens of races inside the race.... Guys trying too gain position on each other that are not top of the line drivers but race just as hard..... Bristol is the one too see, although Richmond is also on the list....

Hell my friend is on a short track race team as the chief mechanic and still not interested. Maybe just once and maybe not.

I prefer quarter mile drag racing.
I was never into circle track.

Yea, going strait for a 1/4 mile is much more fun than turning left for 500 miles….with 41 other cars and drivers...(insert crack pipe icon, lol) Did you happen to catch that IHRA drag race on your local channels this weekend? NO! And they even had golf on! Does that tell you how much excitement is in drag racing? rotflmao

Remember the red 71' nova with the funky yellow stripe? That was my neighbor, and I went with him EVERY weekend through the 90's. I can enjoy any kind of racing with a motor. I do enjoy some good ole smack talking TOO! lol (If you can tell me the name on the side, we know each other)

I haven't been in a number of years though, I'd like to go to a weekend of diesel trucks. I think that would be pretty fun. People pushing 7,000 lb trucks down the road with some pretty retarded abilities to make most sports cars look like a joke.

I used to go to races all the time when I was a kid. We went to Charlotte numerous times and Richmond a couple times. Last year I was lucky enough to get to go to bristol. I tell ya what, there's nothing like it. If I could post a video on tapa talk I would..I just don't know how. You don't miss anything at that track, and me and a few buddies are going back next year. uploadfromtaptalk1424749688531.jpguploadfromtaptalk1424749736373.jpg

I went to the Bristol Night race on my birthday in 2008 I think. From what I remember it was a great time. All I can confirm with absolute certainty is that I was drunk as hell by the time we left. Had a blast.

I went there the first time with the wife as a last minute anniversary get away back in 08 I think.... Edwards won it and he and Kyle bush spun each other out after the race was over... Amazing the crowd reaction every tom Bush comes around.... Boos come out from everywhere lol....

I like the spring races more because better temps for the most part, I can dress for the cold but that track gets hot and if there's no breeze down right miserable lol....

I don't hate it. I like to watch quite a bit of historical sporting stuff. Daytona 500's, Major golf tournaments, Triple Crown. Mostly because they are the ones people remember and you might get to see something very important. But NASCAR should decide the champion by putting the Top 10 cars at the end of the year in a figure 8 death race with the bottom 10 cars of the series. Last of the top 10 cars still moving, wins it all
