Good looking gardens everyone!

I finally got everything of mine in the ground this weekend. Just finished putting seed in yesterday. I only planted half of my sweet corn (Bodacious) as I plan on planting the other half in a couple weeks. I came home from work today and my plants were really hurting. Upper 80's and intense sun today baked 'em pretty good. We did get a nice much-needed shower tonight around 8 oclock though so I hope they look a little better tomorrow.

Frickin' storm took out a couple of tomatoes. It was too dark to see any other damage, but a HUGE limb came down on the house and dog kennel (dog and house are fine) and I guess took out the tomatoes while it was at it.

I hear ya I lost my kennel roof and never looked at the garden . I may be in the same boat?

Yep they can be replanted no personal damage or structural damage is the main thing.

Yea, I was pretty scared when I saw the trees down on the kennel, but the dog is fine and best as I can tell, the roof to my house is fine also. I'll know more in the morning.

I saw the damaged tomatoes before I saw the limbs down and couldn't figure out how they got torn down. Time to replace the batteries in my flashlight! LOL

I got sprouts on my kohlrabi, taters, rutabaga, spinach, green leaf lettuce, beets, squash, and beans now

I'm really excited to check the garden every day now, this is exciting

My bean seeds got pushed out of the dirt due to the massive downpours we had. They had started to sprout. I pushed them back under the dirt a little bit.

How long should I give them before I decide if I need to replant?

Depends on the variety, soil quality and a host of factors Diane. I'd give them a solid week if your forecast resembles ours.

I stopped by the garden tonight and I swear in 3.5 days just about everything grew more than it did in the 10 days prior. That rain we go did wonders. I'm behind on weed control, but I'll get it whipped. I have over a dozen tomatoes on the Better Boy plants I bought through a local fundraiser. The rest of the garden looks fantastic!

I needed that rain last night BAD. My plants were looking pretty sorry as after all that intense sun and heat. They looked very refreshed tonight when I got home.

Someone may have said it in here, but there's nothing like rain. You can water all you want, but rainfall does something extra. You could see it in our plants today.
