Screw Cecil. He shoulda been more careful.
Screw the dentist, he's an asshole. He should be gang-raped by a bunch of 6ft4in 280# game wardens, screw fining him. And told it'll happen again if he ever thinks of hunting again.
Screw all the PC anti's weeping for a fucking lion. If they want to do some good they should go give money to a food pantry and work a soup kitchen, help people instead of romanticizing over Simba and Bambi and Poombah.

While we're at it, screw Disney for general purposes.

Outstanding! Couldn't agree more!

I love the fact that I can voice my common sense opinions without fear of reprisal, thanks to the foresight of our forefathers who penned our Constitution and it's first amendment.

Maybe if Cecil had been penned he'd still be alive.

Just listening to tonight's report on CBS on this story hearing the name Cecil being mispronounced over and over was hilarious!

My thoughts:

Anyone spending $55K to travel halfway around the world to kill(not hunt) a lion just for the head is not a hunter but rather a guy with more money than sense. Not going to judge him but he didn't help our standing with the antis or the non hunting public that's for sure! He did t even want the meat!!! WTH

On most safaris the meat is given to the indigenous people. I'm wondering where SCI is. Why aren't these so called hunting rights organizations condemning his actions but also getting the word out there that safari hunting has done more for animals than these hippies could ever dream of.

SCI issued a statement early last week temporarily suspending the membership of the hunter and PH until the investigation runs it's course. “Safari Club International condemns unlawful and unethical hunting practices. SCI supports only legal hunting practices and those who comply with all applicable hunting rules and regulations, and SCI believes that those who intentionally take wildlife illegally should be prosecuted and punished to the maximum extent allowed by law,” the organisation said

Just about every organization that spoke on the matter or issued a release condoned any illegal hunting activities. The Sportsmen's Alliance President was featured on a taped interview on CBS This Morning and live on CNN last week. Doing exactly what you mention above. He is also scheduled to be live on CBS This Morning tomorrow.

I heard the guy from sportsmens alliance, he did very well. While I personally wish SCI was more public in defending hunters right now I understand they excell at behind the scenes lobbing for hunting.

Cool stuff bud. Shame you don't see more orgs doing more than simply issuing a statement of condemnation. Its good that the USSA is getting out there. They all should have the veracity of Al sharpton and Jesse Jackson on the issue. If a camera flips on to talk about it, a hunters org should be there condemning poachers but sticking up for hunters.

Let me ask you a question though. Today Delta airlines immediately prohibited transportation of certain African trophy animals like lions, rhinos, etc and stated they would evaluate their policy on all hunted animal. Do you know if the USSA has removed Delta airlines from their corporate travel booking options? While issuing statements and getting In front of the camera is a great thing to sway public opinion, we also need to fight back against these companies like delta making PR stunts in an attempt to capitalize on the issue. Imagine if companies like the USSA, SCI, NRA etc immediately removed Delta airlines from their corporate travel programs.

It's an interesting situation. Everybody is shying away from the topic, just kind of hoping that it quiets down. It has slightly, but yet because the media hasn't decided to latch on to this week's distraction so that means "trophy hunting" is still in the headlines. The Sportsmen's Alliance has been out front as the only advocate for hunters and hunting. Promoting the good that hunters do, not only in the U.S. but in all parts of the world. Are there bad hunters and good hunters? You bet. Just like there are bad people and good people in whatever market segment of the population we sample.

That's a good question about Delta for sure. I saw the email come out yesterday and we will be digging more into it. It feels like a knee-jerk reaction that will be quietly reversed once things in the media fade away.

This is definitely an interesting time...

Yeah, you're right. I'll just say I'd spend my money differently. Lol. I have no problem with these Safari type hunts as long as they're done within the law. I think once this story got out some anti hunting media outlets ran with less than accurate info causing it to look worse than it actually was. His past fish and game violations didn't help his case either.

The masses that are picketing and mourning the killing of Cecil prolly have never done shit to help fund the conservation of any wildlife here or abroad.

I'm not sure how many people will sit through this whole video as I did, but I'll be sharing it and suggesting they do.

Besides music, to date this is the longest youtube video I've watched. I chose after dinner when there was nothing stopping me from paying attention.

Thanks for sharing this.

I listen to Rogan's podcast religiously and will listen to this when I have time. Knowing him and Cameron fairly well from the multiple podcasts they have done together, I'm sure this is a great listen and provides some very valuable insight.

Unless I've missed something I don't see the problem.
Wasn't it a legal hunt in a legal area?
The stupid lion wasn't where the sight seers watch him but wondered away into a new area.
If the sight seers wanted him protected, then they should have protected him.
Heaven forbid if you would shoot a famous area buck that wondered onto to your property during legal hunting times.
