They have a good deal on the shields at Phoenix Tactical in Newark, $339 for the 9mm or the 40 cal. I owned the 40 cal once but sold it, just a little too much recoil for me out of that size pistol. I like the 9mm a lot.

Nice Ruger Adam. My son has one of those and loves it. He hasn't let me shoot it yet.

By all definitions I'm a gun addict so I think it's only appropriate that my first post here be in the gun porn thread. Here are a couple of my more recently adopted pieces.

I have always fancied rifles with Mannlicher stocks, so when I needed to purchase a semi-auto rimfire rifle to shoot the ABRA matches in factory class at my local gun club I just couldn't resist this walnut and blued beauty.

One of my favorite periods in American history is the post Civil War era with the Indian Wars, achieving manifest destiny, and the industrial revolution. As such I just had to have an 1873 Winchester and opted for one of the Cimarron/Uberti reproductions in .357 Mag and couldn't be happier. I looked long and hard at Winchesters new version of the 1873, but I just couldn't get past the lawyer approved tang safety they put on it.

And last but not least is my pride and joy, an 1860 Henry reproduction (Cimarron/Uberti) in .45 Long Colt.

The big question right now is which one of the lever guns do I want to deer hunt with this year, the 1860 or the 1873?

Dang furious that's some serious porn - welcome.
As to your dilemma over choosing which one to hunt with, that's simple - BOTH. mischeif.gif

Welcome to the forum. Stop by my Lima gunshow setup and say hi. On a deer hunting caliber bigger is always better. Sorry for the comment but I never would consider the 357 a sporting deer round. It'll take deer but I still consider it just too weak of a round.

My favorite gun to take to the range lately has been the Browning T-Bolt Target/Varmint that I picked up this spring. She's a tack driver with Eley Club at 50 yards.

I picked up a super clean Savage 22 WMR this weekend. I really don't know what I will use it for but the price was right and it is in like new condition.
